Happy Belly Tea

Truly one of my all time favorite drinks!

It became a habit of mine while traveling in India, I could find it everywhere, served in a giant glass with tones of ginger in it.
Ginger is like a warm blanket for your belly and it’s one of the most soothing plants for your stomach and Turmeric root is known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
I call it the “Happy Belly Tea”, it’s great after a meal, during the day and especially when you feel you’re coming down with something.
As a major part of your immune system is in your gut and you have the highest accumulation of nerves also in your belly, then you can imagine how drinking this tea would not only love your belly but also give some juicy support to your immune system and nervous system.

YOU NEED:
Fresh Ginger
Fresh Turmeric
Fresh Lemon or few drops of Lemon Essential Oil
Honey or/and Maple Syrup if you’re Vegan

YOU DO:

Chop some Ginger and turmeric roots in your cup. I can’t really give you a measure on this, as you can make it more spicy or less, but average size would be not more than half of your second finger (I hope it makes sense).
Boil some water and pour in the cup.
Cover it for 10 min.
Squeeze ½ lemon or add 1,2 drops of Lemon essential oil if you don’t have fresh lemon handy.
Add your sweetener of choice, to taste but be mindful on not making it too sweet and enjoy!
