Fall Parfait: Quick Oatmeal to Warm Your Heart

Yes to fall and all the yummy, heartwarming and comforting food!

When the cooler season begins my body craves warmer food and more cooked food and I’ve learned to listen.

It’s truly fascinating how intelligent the human body is, don’t you agree?
So this morning nothing felt better than making myself a nice bowl of good old oatmeal, it’s delicious, heartwarming and ready in 5 min!

Fun fact: I only learned about Oatmeal in my 20s…

YOU NEED:

1/ 2 cup Gluten free quick cooking rolled oats (If you have access to bulk shopping that would be the best choice, if not “Bob’s Red Mill quick cooking rolled oats’ are really good. It’s Gluten free and organic)
1 cup Water
Pinch of Salt
½ Teaspoon Cinnamon ground
1 Tablespoon Unsweetened shredded Coconut (If you have access to bulk shopping that would be the best choice, if not  “Let’s do Organic” is a great choice)
1 Tablespoon Maple syrup

YOU DO:

1- Bring water and salt to a boil
2- Add Quick cooking rolled Oats and Cinnamon and stir
3- Lower the heat to medium-low and let it cook for 3 min, stirring occasionally
4- Remove from heat, serve it in a bowl and let it sit for 1 min
5- Top it with blueberries or chopped dates or  shredded Coconut or … and a dash of maple syrup

Bon Appétit!
